Sometimes things don’t go the way we planned and we have to find out what went wrong so that we can prevent a repeat or worse incident.
Kelvin TOP-SET is a globally recognised system for incident investigation and problem solving. It is used by some of the largest and most complex organisations and companies in the world. Gatwick Airport has been using this process to produce incident reports for the last couple of years and recently we have been sharing this process with other members of the Gatwick family.
Roger Gentle from the EHS team is an instructor for Kelvin TOPSET and this week delivered another course including some delegates from Swissport, Menzies, GGS and ASH. Gatwick benefits from having over 150 people who have now attended the 1 day Investigator course.
Consistent investigations lead to clear root cause analysis and better understanding and management of risk. So less chance of things going wrong! That’s good for everybody and better for business too.
