I am Director of Operations at Kelvin TOP-SET® and have been involved with the Managing Director in developing and teaching TOP-SET® for about 10 years. I have a background in linguistics, education and psychology which informs a great deal of what we do.

TOP-SET^® is a 'thinking system' and we are involved in teaching our clients to investigate, that is to think their way through what is really a complex problem. We are 'problem solvers'. This is where my interest lies; in assisting people to wend their way through information, understand it and analyse it effectively so that they achieve valid results which they can then use to predict and so prevent failure of all sorts, whether it be accidents in the work place, business failure, medical error etc.

My major interest is in people and how they 'tick'. This includes individual profiles (helping people understand themselves), working together in groups and teams, and human error - why do people have accidents and why some more than others? I am interested in helping companies understand their people in both normal working situations and in crises.

Companies who meet us first of all through TOP-SET^® often ask us back to assist them in other areas. I work as a consultant and coach in these circumstances, coaching executives both individually and as groups through problems that they face, and to enhanced performance. Often this involves personal coaching, looking at how the human 'system' links in with the organisational 'system' and how they can enhance each other.

I also write and oversee the constant upgrading of TOP-SET^® materials which are used successfully across the world at several levels and in many cultures and languages.

Our aim in Kelvin is to work with people to help them to think differently. To do this we use our skills as educators and coaches to enable clarity of thinking in our clients. We know that this shift positively affects their impact in their organisations and on the bottom line. It also produces individuals with greater awareness.

My reward is seeing this result and having clients use us over and over again.
